Smoky Valley Region
The Smoky Valley Region and the Town of Lindsborg was founded in 1869 by Swedish immigrants who sought a better life in America. Among them were craftsmen, musicians, educators, farmers and people of many talents. Along the Smoky Hill River other sites such as the Town of Marquette and the surrounding area there are communities that still today work hard to preserve their heritage and traditions. That is evident today with over 60 active artists, talented musicians and residents with an appreciation for fine arts, hospitality and craftsmanship. In this region you will experience a special blend of history and culture with unique shops, restaurants, museums, art galleries and lots of friendly people.
